The Catholic Right
The Catholics are angry
Cause their Pontiff tells the truth
And seems to care a little more
For people than for god.
This god who sends tsunamis
And typhoons to decimate,
And whose amanuensis wrote
That bigotry's divine.

The World
It isn't just America.
It's the f-cking world.
Everybody's hip,
And god hates beauty.
Music just gets uglier.
Poetry is dead.
Roses that are growing
In the gutters don't smell sweet.
Jesus Christ is not the prince.
He's just another tyrant.
His minions and his sycophants
Clutch their checks for heaven.

Lines
The water of the pond will settle
Back the way it was.
I lost a friend. There was a splash.
The forest now is silent.
My poesy is mediocre,
Though she said it isn't.
But I'll continue writing it.
There's nothing else to do.
And all the little sayings hung
Above fat Jacqui's sofa
Occur to me reminding me
I'm just a paranoid.

Respite
My reluctant friend who
loves me
When he isn't crazy
Is locked inside a hospital.
He thinks he is insane.
And my abusive friend who is
Abrasive, critical,
Sharp and harsh, but
Praises what I write
Thinks she's very honest,
Just like Charlie.
And I hate it!
I was not born for other
people's
Notion of the truth.
He who's in the hospital
Is probably insane.
Make a bed and let me on
The ward. I'm going too.

Intrusion
Love presumes,
Gets angry when it needn't,
And castigates the loved one without
mercy.
I'm not here to meet your expectations.
(A little psychobabble
That I read in Freddy Perls,
A very hateful silly man to read.)
I lost a friend because I made her
angry -
An endless anger -
Such they say is hell -
Ridiculous as an eternal heaven.
