After Reading A Sucess Story

Driving Home From Winco

To be alone is tragic
Like the nothing of night skies
On the road with streetlamps
And no cars,
And the shadows of the trees
Around the houses.
I hate it! And I hate it! And I hate it!
The more he loves his lover then
The less he talks to me.
He doesn't like my poems,
So I shot him.
I was born a slave.
That's how I'll die.

The wound is healed.
At last the verse is gone.
Beauty's dead
And lies beneath the lawn.

Tomorrow if
Another rupture opes,
And what's left
Of the cadaver gropes

From my body
Into open air,
Poesy will
Possibly repair.

TA In Review

The Witch Parent. What does it mean?
Intuition. The Little Professor.
I haven't got intuition,
Never had, doubt I shall ever.
Parent, Adult and Child.
I'm unaware of which ego I'm in,
If I'm in any,
If any exists.
Schizophrenics believe the world
Is scary. We're all schizophrenic.
Paranoia – the epithet
That means mediocrity -
Shattered my happiness
Gnawed at my soul.
Come upon one who is
Not mediocre,
The structure will float like a witch!
And the Gallows Laugh
Is found in a book.

After Reading A Success Story

Bukowski and zombies.
Live in a world
You used to imagined when
You were a boy,
Passing up Proust to
Embark as a writer,
Adored by the people,
As rich as the church.

I have over 70 paperback collections of poems on Amazon, and many on Kindle.  The paperbacks are usually $10 or less, the Kindles usually $1.  If you like my poems, you can find the books on Amazon by clicking "books" on the drop down, and in the search bar typing Joseph Hart Poetry.
