Weird

Neither tragic nor insane,

A nurse who passed me on the ward

Told me I reconstitute

Quickly.

The world is very odd,

Coincidences odder,

Fantasies and dreams

And aberrations of the mind -

Particularly the consciousness

That alters like a ghost.

And fantasies like film that changes

Shape while you are looking.

And stream of consciousness

The only truth, the source of beauty.

Lost the fundamentalist

Who shuns the paranormal.

Therapy

The gist of Schiff and Kelly

Doing therapy

Was to double up their fists

And knock you down.

In sequence and succession,

Until you leave or can't get up.

Therapy that's real -

An environment responding -

This is confrontation -

Tough love -

And tell the patient

What a very wretched thing he is.

A season of happiness, music and love -

The Judy Garland Show.

It ceased the flagellation in my soul.

Judy Garland – and everyone -

Singing songs I love -

People that I like to watch -

Maybe stem the sadness

To which I am betrothed -

The show went in and soothed me

With something like suppression -

Now I am at Denny's -

And feeling somewhat better

As it's coming out.

Waiting are more shows.

Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney,

In the show I saw.

Lena Horn is next.

I think I'll watch them.
