My eyes get dim and misty

When I think that Christie

Is going to meet his maker

Some extremely lovely day

Where it's very hot, the Christians say.

When it's time for him to leave,

Who is going to grieve?

No one who is educated,

Very poor or gay.

The Farm Bill

What Republican since Lincoln

Gave a damn for any people

But the rich? And Jesus Christ

Has become a rich man's god.

Republicans have taken mercy,

Succor out of the agenda.

The Duartes aren't the only

People getting welfare. Good

And decent, honest needy people

(And to hell with Ayn Rand!)

Ask for help and will not get it.

When Republicans need help,

The poor, if they survive starvation

And medicine they can't afford,

Will not give it. Let the Grand

Old Party take it's needs to god.
